Taxi Operators accredited by hotels are widely available at negotiable rates. Cash payments in USD and Kenyan Shillings will be accepted.

Kenyan Shillings are the national currency used in Kenya. There are various Exchange Bureau’s located in the City Centre of Nairobi.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers over one year of age, please contact your healthcare practitioner for more information as to where to obtain this in your country.

Major International Cities fly directly to Jomo Kenyatta International, Nairobi. We suggest you book your flight in advance.

The passport must be VALID for at least 6 months & Temporary passports are not acceptable.

Letter of invitation from  Kenya’s authorities / company is required – The Value Added Agriculture team are able to assist with a letter of invitation, whoever your attendance first need to confirmed, before our team may issue a letter.

Passport Holders of the following countries DO NOT REQUIRE visa into Kenya: Botswana, Brunei, Burundi, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, Samozo, San Marino, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa* Swaziland, Tanzania, Tobago, Tonga, Trinidad, Turkey, Uganda, Uruguay, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Passport holders of the following countries AND ALL stateless persons i.e. persons holding travel documents issued by either the Department of Home Affairs of the Republic of or the United Nations require Referral visas:  Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Eritrea, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, North Korea, Senegal, Somalia, Syria and Tajikistan
