We interviewed Sanri as part of our Decorex Instagram Takeover.

  1. Tell us about your favourite decor trend from 2017?
My favourite decor trend from 2017 has to be mobile and experimental lighting! Lighting took centre stage this year at most of the fairs including our own. The Moonjelly lighting by Dokter and Misses and Ngwenya Glass exhibited at 100% Design SA was out of this world!

2. What inspires you?
I am so inspired by the interior design in the Beverly Hills Cafe, Ladurée – done by India Mahdavi. Can you imagine a more magical place to have a pastry? Her brilliant use of colour and playful approach to design makes her one of a kind.

3. What is your favourite décor space at the moment?
Cristina Celestino occupies my dreams! One of my favourite décor items has to be The Happy Room collection she designed for Fendi. It embodies everything I love about décor – mix materials, epic colour combinations and a dash of glamour.
