Instagram is taking the floral industry by storm as it the most effective and cost effective way to promote/showcase a business. Social media is indeed playing a crucial role in sparking the public’s interest and educating the mass about the importance of flowers for very occasion.
Florals that are trending this season, yep you guess it right… Peonies with their delicate petals continue to be a favourite for the floral stylists, even this season. Although they don’t come cheap, they are guaranteed to add an element of elegance to any arrangement.
With regards to the foliage it is difficult to always pin down the obvious trends. However, the greenery such as the birch, asparagus fern, lunaria is still popular amongst florists all over the world. In South Africa the fragrant eucalyptus continues to be predominately used by floral stylists in their arrangements. Succulents and indoor plants from floral to tropical greens are also very popular this season and I am collecting loads of them for my home.
I feel that they add warmth and a tropical feel in the home. Also the good thing about the indoor plants is that if you properly feed and nurture them, you will be showered with loads of compliments from friends and family. On that note grab some indoor plants and observe the love from friends and family!
