About Decorex Durban Features 2020

True to the Decorex brand, the 2020 exhibition programme boasts a number of inspired new installations which will speak to the upcoming trends. Some of the key features include:

Frans Alexander is ready to take his rightful place as this year’s Decorex Designer Spotlight. He will create a space which uniquely reflects his interpretation of this year’s theme ‘Lifestyle by Design’ while ensuring form, function and comfort are not comprised.

This exclusive Design Pavilion will showcase local design disciplines from home décor, interior design, architecture and lifestyle culture and trends through this dynamic installation. In this space local designers will interpret the show’s exciting, homegrown theme ‘Lifestyle by Design’.

The Apartment Project is a collaboration with one of SA’s top furniture + décor suppliers along with two interior designers styling two contemporary styled apartments. Showcasing the latest furniture designs, decor products and design trends for 2020 all in small living spaces.

This popular installation will take visitors, room by room, through an on-trend urban home setting that subtly reflects the show’s theme, ‘Lifestyle by Design’. Decorex Creative Director, Anita Bloom, will work with Mobelli to create a captivating home space that reflects the Durban lifestyle.

With the bathroom evolving to become a place of relaxation, a space devoted to personal well-being rather than purely a practical space, this project will feature some of Durban’s top bathroom suppliers who will showcase some of the hottest bathroom trends including freestanding basins.

With kitchens progressing from merely being a functional area in the back room to forming the heart of the home where eating and entertaining converge. This move has seen kitchens adopting more inviting designs. Skhuni Trends, MAD Design Studios, Ram Cupboards and Nkayishana Décor Trading will create a Contemporary, Country Farmhouse, French influenced, or a coastal themed kitchen.

The Lighting Project is brought to you by Decorex Africa in collaboration with one of SA’s top lighting suppliers. Showcasing the latest ranges of innovative and on-trend lighting solutions for any space. The lighting supplier will have the opportunity to feature hanging pendants, standing lamps and decorative side/desk lamps. Be inspired by these top-quality lighting solutions at Decorex Africa 2020.

Fabric Trend Bar is an exclusive showcase of the latest style and luxury in decorative fabrics and trimmings for the corporate, hospitality and residential décor market. This unique feature brings in a truly dynamic textile element to the Decorex show with this colourful installation.
